Maine Premier wrestling club is a year round wrestling club dedicated to the individual development of Maine’s youth, Ms and Hs wrestlers.

I started this club to offer a consistent training environment for the kids in Maine. The vision is for this club to be a sustainable year round wrestling option for dozens of kids throughout the state.

Whether you want to be a state champ, a national champ, wrestle in college or become a referee This club has space for you.

Any young wrestler and their parents who are willing to buy into a training system will find a home at MPW.

Coach Ross Spencer-

Originally from Connecticut, I have used my wrestling foundation daily in my adult life. After stepping away from wrestling for more than 8 years, I have found wrestling community here in Maine. I believe my time away from the mat has given me a perspective that helps me be a better coach. I have been a lifetime fan of watching wrestling and I feel like my wrestling knowledge grows each day.

Outside of wrestling I farm organic vegetables on less than 4 acres with my partner Janelle and our two dogs. For hobbies, I enjoy canoeing and I spent the better part of my 20s Rock Climbing.

I advocate heavily for year round club wrestling. Club wrestling has so much to offer each individual athlete. whether it is investing in a training system, getting in reps, keeping busy, or seeking goals. For me, club wrestling was foundational to my young adulthood, setting goals year in and year out and working towards them intentionally sets us up to do exactly the same in our adult lives.
